Paris Metro Line 8 – Paris, France

I’m using my photos to track the path we took through Paris. It was a year ago, and I don’t remember our exact route. The Concord station pictured here is at the other end of the Champs-Élysées from the Arc de Triomphe. Which means we walked the entire length.

Metro line 8 is the second longest and eighth busiest of the sixteen lines. While central Paris is compact, we used the metro whenever we could. It came frequently and was inexpensive. Getting on at Concord, we exited just two stops later at Opéra — a hint as to our next tourist location.

I didn’t take many pictures of the outside of the metro since many renovated stations had glass and metal walls that obscured the entering trains. This metro train looked older and dinkier than the sleeker models I remember.
