Striking Aria Architecture

Aria Architecture – Las Vegas, Nevada

I talked about the dramatic architecture from Din Tai Fung yesterday, located in the Aria. That’s where I had my dinner. I have a couple more examples of the Aria’s splendid design that I explored after my meal.

Just off the main entrance near the lobby, there’s a curved balcony with escalators that leads to a lower level — my favorite visual feature of the Aria. At a 24mm equivalent, It’s not an ultra-wide lens, but it still captured much of the architectural drama.

We have the reverse view here, looking up from the lower level. It’s the same color scheme and architecture, of course — just a change in perspective. Which angle do you prefer?

Notice the red balloons at the top of the escalators? Those are lobby decorations for the Chinese New Year. Back in April, as part of a Las Vegas sneak peek, I featured those in this post.
