While in Las Vegas with my high school buddies, my friend ran into someone he knew in New York. She was there with her two other girlfriends. A group of us strolled around the sites on the Strip, gawking at the Vegas opulence. She wanted to visit Louis Vuitton at the Shops at Crystals.

I often like visiting these high-end stores, not for buying anything, but for the architecture and interior design. These companies spend a lot of money and hire the best designers to look magnificent — undoubtedly to encourage people to shop. It rarely works on me, but I enjoy their visual efforts.

I particularly loved this Louis Vuitton Vegas store, which looks significantly more impressive than the small space in Austin. Since I got away with taking pictures in the main space at Shops at Crystals mall, I tempted luck and shot a few inside the store.

I wonder if I put security guards on high alert. But I shot only a few, and no one bothered me. I used my Fujifilm X-S10 with the small 16mm f2.8 prime. Though more conspicuous than a smartphone, it’s a small camera by DSLR standards.
