Our big high school get-together dinner happened on the third day, the day after we had the buffet at the Palms Casino Resort. Though this wasn’t a quintessential Vegas buffet dinner, we had just as much food, maybe more.
We decided on Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian Steak chain featuring all-you-can-eat meat dishes conveniently sliced at your table. You can keep on going until you can’t stand to eat anymore. I’ve been to a Brazilian Steak restaurant once in Mexico, but never in the United States.
Before starting the meat onslaught, you’re invited to the beautiful, well-stocked salad bar. It gives people a healthier and lighter alternative to meat. However, strategically, for the restaurant, it fills people up, so they probably eat less meat.
Fogo de Chao is pricy, as you may have guessed. But the service was excellent, and the restaurant was well-appointed. I was particularly attracted to the glow of the salad bar.
