I did some minor exploring on the Glacier Express, walking one car forward to see what was there. Unlike the TGV that had a cafe car with food service, I didn’t think this train had one. After all, the food is served at your seat by staff. However, this area looked like a cafe car, though with no visible kitchen. The food was brought from beyond, from a different car, which I assumed I didn’t have access to. The car did have a small display case with souvenirs and coffee makers on the counter.
However, I noticed that the staff was in a relaxed group setting. I like the interaction I captured, doing unexpected street photography on the train.
I was curious about what was beyond the front doorway. Was that the kitchen? Or did this car act as a buffer between the First-Class passengers and the well-heeled Excellence Class?
