After our cafe dinner, we returned to our hotel, and my wife retired. I was still ready to go, most excited about urban night photography. Just a half block north on Rue de Pont Neuf, where my hotel is located, revealed a cornucopia of cafes and restaurants.
I’m astounded by the number of places catering to food in Paris. They are everywhere, and they seem relatively crowded. Of course, it’s a big city, but the eating-out culture must be much stronger than in the US.
While there are chain restaurants, they seem relatively sparse compared to America. That variety must make going out significantly more enjoyable. It certainly helps with photography, too, offering endless variety.
