We didn’t spend an extensive amount of time at Sacre Coeur. I later learned about the subterranean crypts and the panoramic view from the upper levels, which might be activities for a future trip. We took a complete walk around the inside, where I shot the massive stone architecture.
The exterior facade is also consistent with the heavy and robust Roman-Byzantine architectural style. It’s solid-looking and not the dainty designs you see in Gothic architecture.
The ornate design is especially lovely in black and white, which brings out the details. My previous pictures of the exterior were head-on; these images from the side give a more three-dimensional appearance.
