The upscale department stores on Haussmann Blvd are just a couple of blocks north of Opéra Garnier, so we stopped by. We’d already been to Galleries Lafayette earlier on our trip before we went to Switzerland, but we went again to take in this majestic retail establishment.

We are on the ground floor among the various cosmetic displays where several people snapped the grand dome at the top of this ornate atrium. I already blogged about the Galleries Lafayette’s dome with three photos documenting the entirety of the atrium from about halfway up.

I like this view of the department store, which uses a street photography aesthetic. It works well with my previous post about this store.
