The gardens at the Palace of Versailles are vast and varied. Admittedly, this area doesn’t look very garden-like, and it seems architectural with the tall wall-like hedges.

I couldn’t help but think of the maze scene towards the end of The Shining. Thankfully, I wasn’t stuck in any mazes, and the grid-like arrangement made navigating it easier.

Another movie that comes to mind is the original Star Wars, renamed Episode 4. Does it look like the Death Star trench? Though obviously a verdant one. Stay on target.
