We arrived early in the morning for our flight back to Austin. As I boarded the plane, I snapped this photo from the glass jet bridge. This was the last picture I took in France.
Shooting through the glass produced a soft, dreamy look with reflections — sunrise at the Charles de Gaulle Airport.
As expected, I shot other photos at the terminal as we waited for our boarding, but none were compelling. The waiting area was colorful and cheerful but not architecturally significant. I heard other terminals were better; we must have been at the old one.
Thus, my last image has a soft painterly look that befits the impressionism of the French artists. The visit to France was a success on multiple levels, including the photography.
