We are looking north up Guadalupe Street, standing between 5th and 6th Streets. On the left is the current tallest tower in Austin, 6th and Guadalupe at 865 feet. The previous tallest was The Independent at 694 feet, so there is a sizable difference.
Of note is the skyscraper on the right, currently under construction. You can see the slender construction tower adjacent, but I believe the tower has reached its full height. The ATX Tower is planned to be 675 feet, though, from this angle, it looks taller despite being some 200 feet shorter.
6th Street is currently the outer boundary of the tall Austin skyscrapers. Most of the sizable downtown buildings are south of here and closer to the river. I feature some of those in a future post.
