When I visit The Domain shopping center, I park in Nordstrom’s parking lot. It’s usually less crowded, and I walk through the store and get to street level. I’ve taken more photos than I shop at the store.

I noticed a pair of backlit mannequins on a walk-through earlier this year. The background grid of windows and the strong shadows made for an unusual shot that I felt compelled to capture. More standard is these festive holiday mannequins that I featured on my January 1st post.

More post-processing than usual created a moody and glowing set of mannequins with a specific look I like. High contrast, monochrome, and modern grid architecture create an urban style. Sometimes, EDC shots can be transformed into something more unique.
