Bordering the expanding upscale Ward Village is an industrial area known as Kaka’ako, which is also gentrifying. On the way to the more developed areas, you pass through a modest, almost rough neighborhood known for elaborate street art. I featured some artwork back in 2021 (here, here, and here).
I didn’t try to document all the artwork seriously, instead snapping a few with a fisheye distortion. I like how this work of art on a curved building looked especially noteworthy.
This picture is not particularly great; it lacks balance and has a distracting foreground. I included it in the post as documentation of a mammoth piece that is hard to capture without a panorama or a crazy fisheye. I included less than a third of the artwork in this post from 2021 and you can finally appreciate it in its entirety.
