This remarkably restrained and balanced structure immediately pulled me in. While it may resemble an old warehouse without any architectural merit, please take a look at its beautifully positioned windows, the textured wall, and the rich terracotta-painted accent colors. Modern buildings don’t look half as good.
The lighting was perfect, too. Casting the building in the rich warmth of afternoon light while keeping the parking lot in shadow. It makes the structure glow and directs the eye.
I used Google to research the building further. To my surprise, it’s the headquarters of the now-defunct SST Records, once a significant force in the punk rock scene in the 1980s.
