I noticed some details as I wind down the coverage for Haneda Airport. The first picture is of the ceiling, a huge one that sweeps from high to low, covering the entire departure area. The skylights are letting some of the morning sun peer through, forming a series of backbone-like structures across the building.
This section of the building has more floors. I’m either on the fourth or fifth floor, but the ceiling is still generously high. It sweeps downward towards the entrance, which only has three floors.
The second image is of this attractive, glowing escalator. You can argue that all escalators have a sweep in their design, and you will be correct. However, this one looked beautiful to me, so I incorporated it into the story.
