I love the baker’s expression. A street portrait I made as I passed in front of the store. A couple of us on the photowalk entered the store.
I shot a few different images, but I like this one the most. The baker was in open shade inside the store, and the light flooded in, creating an even illumination. However, the actual light levels were low. I shot at ISO 3,200 at f2.8.
In Paris, a year earlier, I shot another baker portrait, but with a very different look—a monochrome with two different expressions.
