We are rapidly approaching, but not quite at blue hour, my favorite time to shoot urban landscapes. At peak blue hour, the warm artificial light contrasts wonderfully with the bright blue sky. You can see here that the yellow headlights don’t pop as much, given the amount of ambient light.
Still, we have some worthwhile visual elements. I like the leading line down this narrow alley. It’s wide enough for a car, just barely, but it was noticeably narrower than the other streets. I don’t recall the name of the street, but I believe it was a major shopping area.
We have a classic red car peaking out, and the cobblestone aways adds great urban texture. Too bad the closest buildings on either side are not very architecturally expressive.
