Market Interaction – Havana, Cuba

Day two in Havana, and we are walking to the venue where we will be shooting portraits of models. Great time for more street photography. And Havana is such an excellent place for it.

Nothing fancy here, just an interaction I saw at a small market. The key is that there is clearly a dialogue between these two, which shows action. It’s a static scene, yet it’s not static.

While I usually prefer a prime lens for street photography, I felt comfortable shooting with a larger zoom, the Sony 24-70 f/2.8. It makes for an easy combo. I zoomed to 61mm to frame the shot, and autofocus took care of the rest.
