I’m mostly finished with the model portraits from Day 2, except for one more, which I’ll show you tomorrow. However, the restaurant venue where we shot was so lovely, it’s worth showing you the interiors. Some of these locations will look familiar as you’ve seen parts of them in the backgrounds of the portraits. But you’ll get a much better feeling of the space from these pictures.
I used 24mm for all of these images, my widest available focal length on the Sony 24-70mm f2.8 I was using. The restaurant is called La Guarida, a high-end, fancy place even by non-Cuban standards. It was the most extravagant place we ate at; however, the prices were reasonable by U.S. standards since the cost of living in Cuba is so low.
The staircase above is on the first floor, leading to the second floor.
This picture and the two below are all from the second floor. This staircase leads to the third floor, where the restaurant is located.
I featured this hallway in a portrait with Kamy, though a white sheet partially blocked it.
We also shot in this room, though I haven’t shown you any pictures from here yet. Out the window is where the balcony is located. You can see part of the wall.
