Havana Street Scenes #3 – Havana, Cuba

We are on the same street as yesterday for the third and final installment of the Havana Street Scenes mini-series. We have the reverse view from yesterday with the same level of vibrancy. Instead of the Ford station wagon, we have a classic Chevrolet in excellent condition. It doesn’t compare to the sparkling tourist models you see near the Capitol, but it’s not a jalopy either. This vehicle also has its headlights replaced by LEDs.

You don’t get a sense of the pace of life in this static scene, but you won’t be surprised to learn it’s slow. The people are relaxed, and the cars on these smaller streets are slowly cruising. Hustle and Bustle are non-existent.

This broad perspective was shot with a slightly wider focal length. While the first and second were at 43 and 48mm, this one is a “wide” 35mm. Which means that the distances are ever so slightly exaggerated. The human eye sees a perspective of around 43mm.
