I showed you some once-grand apartments behind the Capitol yesterday. Today’s photo gives you a better perspective.

While this may not technically be on the Capitol grounds, it’s the sidewalk along it. On the left is the Capitol. You can see a small sliver of the building. On the right is the apartment block I showed you yesterday. So much difference from one block to the next.

I didn’t make this picture to give you the lay of the land, of course. It just worked out as part of the blog’s narrative. The people are what drew my interest. I initially thought these four were part of one group. However, they look like two separate couples. I also didn’t realize how tattooed that woman on the right is. That didn’t seem common in Cuba. But I had a tiny sample to go by.
