I featured a couple of pictures of dancers from the Tropicana show yesterday. I expressed my frustration at not getting “the perfect shot”. Much of it was due to our table’s position and not having a clean and balanced framing on the stage performance.
A few times, I positioned myself in a main walkway to get a clearer, wider perspective of the stage. The large man I complained about yesterday is still visible. Still, his impact is greatly diminished by including more of the audience. I didn’t want to hang out in the aisle because I didn’t want to block others’ view of the performance. So I quickly shot and got back to my seat.
Between the elaborate, ever-changing costumes and the even quicker-changing lighting, it was quite the extravaganza. Here we have the same performer seconds apart. The lighting changes the entire mood.
While the stage was small, it supported a wide range of performances. From one singer to a chorus of dancing women. You can tell the elaborate production from these smatterings of photos. It was a visual and photographic treat.
