Acanda in the Audience – Havana, Cuba

Acanda is the third model in our theater shoot, and for much of the time, she sat in the audience. Though an audience of one in this mostly empty place. Our small class of photographers, the instructor, and three models were the only ones in this large venue.

Unlike the photograph with Kamy, where we used an off-camera strobe with a shoot-through umbrella, Acanda was lit by continuous lights. I piggybacked on a setup a fellow participant was using instead of setting up my own lighting.

Continuous lights often have a softer look than the sharp pop of a strobe. Still, the color temperature issues persist because the color of the continuously lit lights wasn’t balanced with the overall lighting in the theater. That required the additional post-processing to make things look reasonable.
