We are finally at our intended destination: Almacenes San Jose, an industrial space by the waterfront that has been converted into shops. It’s a very touristy destination offering mostly inexpensive trinkets. Still, it was great to visit. I’m going to do a mini-series in black and white.

Shooting just the stalls-turned-shops wasn’t the most exciting, though I did that, too. But it was also an opportunity for street photography.

I was able to capture some emotion and interaction in this photo, and there is a sense of layering and depth. It wasn’t very crowded, so I was lucky I got so many people in the frame.
