One of the amenities at the place we stayed at was this rooftop lounge. They also had happy hour events there. Space is at a premium in NYC, and such a lounge offers extra room and a different viewpoint from which to enjoy the architecture and skyscrapers of midtown Manhattan. Much appreciated.
The first photo faces roughly east, and the second looks southwest. The second view is very similar to what we see from our room, as evidenced by yesterday’s post. We managed to get a room on an upper floor, so we were only a floor or so below this lounge. Still, this place offers a more expansive view. Not shown is the view west and slightly northwest.
In my 2022 coverage of NYC, I brought two Fuji cameras. The medium format Fujifilm GFX 50S II with the 35-70mm zoom, and the compact and popular Fuji X100V. I still own both cameras, but haven’t shot with them as much. The Leica D-Lux 8 is my attempt to go even more compact in a sense, but I also brought two other small cameras and one small-ish camera. With four cameras in tow, admittedly a bit ridiculous, they start taking up space. However, I had fun playing with a mix of devices for greater photographic variety.
