US Open Night Life

There was an impressive-looking bar above a souvenir shop, though we didn’t visit it. There were many opportunities and places to buy alcohol on the property, and I already talked about the famed Honey Deuce, the official cocktail of the US Open.

I’m sure a large percentage of people going to the US Open are interested in tennis, but how seriously? Is it just a good excuse to enjoy the festivities and go drinking? Or maybe one spouse watches while the less interested party spends time at the bar? I shot this at around 8:30, and the place may stay open till around 11pm, when the tennis venue officially closes. That’s, unless there is a particularly long match going on.

I enjoyed the tennis, but I’m not a super huge fan. I went because my wife was interested, and for me, it’s another opportunity for photography and fodder for future blog content. As for the drinking, I haven’t officially given it up, but I rarely partake anymore.
