$45 Fast Food Dinner for Two

Chicken Nuggets, US Open – Flushing, New York

We ate “dinner” at the Star of the Open celebrity tennis game. And, I have dinner in quotes because all it was was chicken nuggets and nachos. Though very pricy.

The nuggets were definitely better than the McDonald’s variety, but for $26, I hope so. This is a confirmed price. I took a picture of the menu. We went cheap with the nuggets; there was a version with either caviar or black truffle for $100.

Six pieces of chicken weren’t quite enough for two adults, so we later got nachos at a different stand. I don’t recall the exact price, but it was a bit less expensive. The food and drinks are beyond pricy at the US Open. Layer a special event, a captive audience, and NYC prices, and you get a perfect storm of premium pricing. So, while the Fan Week entry might be free, you can still end up spending a lot of money.
