Japan has an excellent public transportation system and their trains are the envy of the world. Lots of trains mean lots of railroad crossings, which means a fair bit of waiting, at times. I usually don’t mind, it gives me a chance to shoot. Whenever I capture motion blur, all the better.
At busy crossings, I’ve occasionally waited for up to four trains to pass from both the right and the left. Imagine that. 4 trains within a few minutes. Hard to believe in the United States.
Shot with the Pentax Q7 with the standard zoom lens at a 29mm equivalent using the in-camera black and white mode. Part of my new Deep Blacks Collection.

There a story in that picture.

I’m going to enjoy this Deep Black series. Love your B&W work with the Q7.
Thank you, Mike. I hope they live up to your expectations. I’m planning to post black and whites from other cameras too.
