Urban Art, The Domain Northside – Austin, Texas

I was over at The Domain Northside for a party, yesterday, and saw this. I thought the giant photograph worked especially well in this setting, with the same color pallet and tones as the surrounding area. Even the stark minimalism of the buildings matches the futuristic theme of the image. This is actually an advertisement for Nordstrom, a higher end department store, that just opened.

I busted out my Fujifilm XF1 for the party, a camera I haven’t used in a while. It’s a fairly compact point and shoot with a slightly larger sensor and nice flash blending. I bring this when I need a stylish and small camera for a party. I certainly have cameras with better image quality, but this Fuji usually works in a pinch and I can fit it in a big pocket.
