Over the summer, as I walked around Waikiki Beach, I noticed a bunch of Sprinters at the starting line. These vans, made by Mercedes-Benz are called Sprinters. I found it amusing as I imagined a race about to unfold.

The fancy high-rise is the Ritz Carlton residences. Something that was just getting started two years ago, when I previously visited. The building boom in Waikiki doesn’t seem as intense as Austin but new pricy places continue to be built. In an already expensive place, I’m sure they are targeted towards affluent foreigners. I hear most local Hawaiian already find it challenging enough to play for more modest accommodations.
