Wrapping up this mini-series on Trinity, here’s LeeRoy the Tiger, the University’s mascot. I captured LeeRoy in wide-angle at the football game during Parent’s Weekend.
As crazy as it sounds, back in the 1950’s, Trinity brought a real Bengal Tiger to the games. I could guarantee that I would not have shot this close, if the mascot hadn’t morphed into the cute and furry human variety.
You can see that the stadium is very modest, even by some high school standards. Trinity is certainly not a football powerhouse. My son, however, was more interested in a strong academic education rather than a sports oriented Division 1 school. I too, certainly agree. And, I got to shoot from the field, which wouldn’t have happened at a big state school.

Good for your son! Unless he was seriously contemplating a future in the NFL, good academics are much more important!
My son has zero interest and zero chance to get into the NFL.
