The last time I met Sarah, it was a sub-arctic, for Austin, 30 or so degrees. It was at a Drink in Click in January, earlier this year. This recent late October meeting was decidedly more pleasant. We were both nerding out, as photographers sometime do, at these events.
We were at the Bungalow on Rainey Street, which has these large panes of glass in the back corner, that I like architecturally and as an element in photography. Here’s I used it for reflections. I’ll feature another portrait of Sarah tomorrow, but for tonight, we have this picture of a mysterious Canon shooter.
As I recall, Sarah was pretty happy because she just picked up on older model Canon 5D Mark II, I think, for a great price on eBay. This is what we do at these photographer social gatherings. Shoot some, socialize and talk gear. It’s great fun and a nice way to share interests with like-minded folk. Of course, I’m one of those mirrorless guys, making this photo with Olympus PEN-F.
