United Club, LAX – Los Angeles, California

We had a five-hour layover in Los Angeles, on our way to Honolulu. Luckily, my wife had a few free United Club passes she got with her credit card. I’m too frugal to pay the regular entrance fee, but these free passes really came in handy. The one in LAX was nicely appointed and I prefer it to American’s Admirals Club which I got to visit once on an intercontinental business trip.

Beyond the interior design, which looks very nice, as you can see, the United Club has an open bar. Another advantage over American. They also had better food and self-serve juice and soda machines. It was still early in the morning so I had a couple of Mimosas, to start off my vacation.

I also have another fond memory at a United Club, back in Houston, where I experience the best flight delay, ever. That was on a business trip to The Netherlands in 2014.
