Yesterday’s shocking transportation method was quite remarkable, as I explained. I don’t know how common it is in India. During my three and half hour journey, I only saw that once. So, I don’t want to give the impression that it’s a common occurrence. Today’s photo is more in keeping with the usual.
I found that in almost every instance, the people I’ve met in India are very friendly. This car full of guys is just one example. Perhaps they were being extra accommodating to an obvious foreigner, with a camera.
I love spontaneous photos like this. Street photography via a car, capturing everyday life. Perhaps yesterday’s photo was a bit sensational. Today’s is just as genuine but with a very different impression.
Note: This is one of one hundred twenty-three photos in my book book of India featuring black and white street photographs and observations.
