I’m wrapping up the coverage of the 2019 East Austin Studio Tour, which happened back in November. It ended on a Sunday at 6pm, but I stayed longer talking to a few artists. By the time I left, the Canopy facility was dead quiet, except for several people at a cafe. All the displays and tables were gone as well as the hoards of people. The place was eerily quiet, but the empty space showed off the lovely industrial architecture.
I pushed my newly acquired Fujifilm XQ1 point and shoot to its limit, and coupled with a slightly grainy black and white, I made satisfactory images. The XQ1 is going to be my compact party camera, which works remarkably well with the Instax portable printer. But, in a pinch, it’s acceptable in darker conditions.
Here are four more images created from RAW files post-processed in Capture One.
