EAST 2019 happened in November, and I already posted a few artist portraits last December. Today, I’m featuring a few art patrons that I met at the East Austin Studio Tour. I explored the Canopy, ground zero for EAST, but I most frequently hung out at Shawn and Marty’s studio space. I met both artists in 2018 and have become friends.
As I recall, this was the end of the first day of EAST, and we were all in a festive mood. I had my Fujifilm Instax printer with me, and I printed portraits on the spot. Using the Fuji X-T10, I can send images directly to the printer, which is a great way to share the gift of photography.
This was also my first real outing with the Fujifilm 18-55mm f2.8-5.6, which I bought from Kirk Tuck. I often like shooting portraits with my 50mm equivalent prime. But, I opted for the flexibility of this well-regarded kit lens instead. It didn’t disappoint.
I have a free monthly newsletter that’s perfect for busy people. Signup for the Newsletter to get the best of my posts, old and new, plus additional content not available anywhere else.

Thanks for this! So lovely!
Hi Marty, thanks for your visit and comment. Glad you like them. It will be nice to get back to the good days of appreciating art in a social environment.
