I went to the East Austin Studio Tour again this year, my second year in the row. I was back making artist portraits, among other things. I did something different this year, but I’ll talk about that in an upcoming post.
For today, I feature Marty and Shawn, both of whom I met last year. I made separate portraits of them last year, but combined together this time since they share the same studio. It was like a mini-reunion, and I had fun hanging around them, even indulging in some wine.
I used the Olympus PEN-F with a 50mm equivalent last year but opted for the Fuji with a zoom lens for this year’s portraits. The wider perspective creates an entirely different feel. I’ve also turned more colorful, eschewing the monochrome look.
Marty Lewis’ work can be found on his Instagram.
