This is the second of the tree(s) and architecture mini-series. A similar concept as yesterday’s but with a completely different look. The superfine branches add an arboreal texture over the skyscrapers and create an abstract that is emphasized in monochrome.
The two towers are both hotels located on Congress Avenue in Austin. The difference in architecture spans nearly one hundred years. The substantial masonry of the Stephen F Austin Hotel anchors. While the lightweight glass facade of the Aloft and Element nearly vanishes.
I made this with the medium format Fujifilm GFX 50R, which worked optimally to sharply render every detail. The image at 100% reveals delightful details like zooming into fractals.
