There’s a bit of Broadway in Disney. The Hyperion Theater, located in Disney California Adventure, performs short versions of Broadway-style musicals. Shortened to about an hour to keep the kids and ADD-afflicted interested. As you can see from the Marquee, Frozen was the featured performance.
My wife was particularly looking forward to the show. Me, not as much. But, I kept an open mind. I never saw the animated movie and didn’t know much about the story. In my last visit, over a decade ago, I saw Aladdin here. I enjoyed it immensely.
In the usual Disney fashion, this Marquee simulates a splendid theater front. But, in reality, it’s a facade to a giant warehouse-like structure in the back. While the interior isn’t as lavish as a real Broadway production, the singing, acting, and sets were first-rate and thoroughly enjoyable.
