Snow Covered Garbage Can – Austin, Texas

This epic cold in Austin is doing a number on the services and the modern amenities we take for granted.

Number one on the list is the lack of power. This also means most communication is spotty, and there’s no modern entertainment. It’s also about 55 degrees in the house, and the temperature continues to fall.

Our garbage pickup is usually on Friday. But, with the icy and cold conditions, they didn’t come. We also haven’t received U.S. Mail. I think it will take at least until this Friday for things to return to normal.
