Every 15 minutes, a mini-parade of dolls takes place outside the It’s a small world pavilion — a brief preview of what’s to come if you go on the ride.
There’s a lot written about this ride, which had its genesis at the 1964-1965 World’s Fair in New York City. It was designed by Walt Disney, and after the expo, it was moved to Disneyland and expanded. I found some fantastic photos and detail writeup about the ride on this blog post.
As an aside, I once discovered some snapshot my parents took of the 1964-65 world’s fair. I was there too when I was somewhere between 0 and 1 1/2 years old.
The version you see here is extra festive, decked out for the winter holidays.
