We are back near the entrance of Disneyland, called Main Street USA. It’s an idealized representation of an American town somewhere around 1910. The design was inspired by several places, including Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri.
In keeping with the times, there were at least two arcades, which I’ve captured here. To maximize image quality and get the motion blur effect, I shot with a slow shutter speed — 1/8th of a second for both photos.
I like the old-timey lights, while not as compelling as neon, still has a wonderful glow. The area near Pixar Pier on the California Adventure shares a similar arcade lighting motif.
