This will probably be my last street photograph in this Disneyland series — I’ve posted a handful of black and whites in a classic contrasty style.
I like this one because, except for a few disinterested kids, everyone is looking camera left. It looks even better when larger. Click on the picture to see a bigger version on a computer.
They are all looking at the next parade attraction coming from off-frame. I shot this in-between the parade action to catch the audience’s expression. Which might be even more visually remarkable. A lone umbrella is placed perfectly off-center — a lucky break from a photography compositional perspective. I was locked in a crowd on my side, with no ability to shift my position for optimal framing.
