I’m continuing to showcase photos taken with the mystery Canon lens attached to my Fujifilm GFX. This new lens has changed that game for versatility with the GFX 50R, which I previously used either on a tripod or handheld in good light.

I’ve already showed off today’s and yesterday’s photos on my free newsletter. I’ll reveal the mystery lens first in an upcoming issue.

I was particularly impressed with the complex color captured in the chandeliers. I get all the goodness of a larger medium format sensor, but with increased usability. This is certainly not a traditional setting for medium format photography. That’s what makes this new combo so promising.

Back in the middle of May, when I made this, post-pandemic activity was just starting. It felt good to be downtown and see folks enjoying the nightlife. In fact, it was busier than usual for a Sunday night, which is usually dead. No doubt, people are getting restless for fun.

I have a free monthly newsletter that’s perfect for busy people. Signup for the Newsletter to get the best of my posts, old and new, plus additional content not available anywhere else.
