We stayed at The Getty Center longer than anticipated — there was so much to see. We were there long enough to experience the sunset.
This is one of those found scenes that I captured, combining elements of street photography with architecture. Same thing I did in this photo, though obviously very different. I’m doubly satisfied when I get to merge these two forms of photography.
I only lifted the shadows slightly. Enough to add more glow to the warm setting sun. I wanted the person to be mostly in silhouette and to preserve the long shadows. Both are critical elements of the composition.
