I’m always on the lookout for handsome-looking subjects for street portraits. I saw these two just inside a bar on 6th street. I love their look.
If memory serves, they are from San Antonio. A bigger city about 80 miles south of Austin. It chatted for a minute, mentioning that my older son lives in San Antonio too.
With only one camera and lens, I was more minimal and daring than usual, photographically speaking. I was pushing the limits of the Fujifilm GFX 50R, my slowish medium format camera. It makes fantastic pictures, but can it handle the action of the biker rally at night? I was there to find out. I did have a secret weapon, however. A lens that gave me some extra powers.
I’ll talk about that new lens in tomorrow’s post.
