The pastel matching outfits are a dead giveaway, especially on 6th street. Looks like another bachelorette party has hit the Austin bar scene. The woman at the front of the line, with the white T-Shirt, is probably the bride-to-be. Perhaps unexpected was their little shindig corresponded with the ROT Rally weekend.
It must have been an interesting dynamic with bikers and bachelorettes sharing the same venue. I did not go inside to observe.
I shot this year’s entire ROT Rally series with the Canon 35mm f2 IS lens attached to the medium format Fujifilm GFX 50R. This combo allowed me to shoot in darker conditions with relative ease and with high quality. I got to stop the action at 1/125 of a second shutter speed with the lens at f2 allowed me to gather decent light. Even at ISO 2500, the GFX’s noise levels are nicely subdued. Thus resulting in a sharp street photograph during blue hour.
