This is the last portrait from October, just before Halloween. Michelle was a photographer attending Drink and Click who was kind enough to stand in as the subject. She is sporting one of the newer Canon mirrorless cameras, the EOS R6. I don’t recall if it’s her personal camera or borrowed it for this portrait.
In the background — hanging bare bulb lights — suspended above a stairwell leading down to the 2nd floor. It’s probably the most visually attractive part of the Shiner Saloon in downtown Austin.
While the lights brightened up the background, a LED light was used to light the subject. There was a considerable color temperature difference between the foreground and background. Luckily, my usual black and white portrait treatment obviates the need to adjust the warm/cool color temperature difference.
