There are four attractions at Pearl Harbor. The Arizona Memorial, Battleship Missouri Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine and Museum, and the Aviation Museum. We opted for the Arizona Memorial and the Battleship Missouri.
Only the Arizona Memorial requires advanced planning. Tickets can be hard to get on short notice. However, using a packaged tour — as we did — simplifies the process. It does cost more. Since Pearl Harbor is an active military base, no bags are allowed. Though I heard small clear ones, the kind allowed in concerts may be acceptable. I hand-carried my small Fujifilm X-E3 with the 15-45mm kit lens.
A shuttle bus took us from the main visitor’s center to the Battleship Missouri. Its entrance is awash in patriotic symbolism, as you can see here.
