While located in Waikiki, the Hilton Hawaiian Village feels self-enclosed. Entering the property, you move from the gridded urban streets to more of a manicured garden.
As I mentioned yesterday, the property now boasts some eight towers. Tucked between the buildings are the gardens, restaurants, shops, and pools. It’s dense but done with precision and care. It has a Disney-esque sensibility without the characters and amusement park rides.
It’s perfect for people who appreciate a controlled environment. I’m used to the bustle of the city and unsure if I like this kind of environment. However, you can certainly frame lovely pictures without the intruding clutter of everyday life.
